MusicForRelief.org | Fri Jan 22, 2010 2:48 pm | Posted by: Dr.P

Hey everyone,

You probably all know about the crisis in Haiti.

I encourage everybody to donate a little to the cause - every little bit counts. It really does.

As a bonus, MusicForRelief.org as a free download to some exceptional music created just for this cause. Check out the music list:

  • Not Alone - Linkin Park
  • Mother Maria (ft. Beth Hart) - Slash
  • Never Let Me Down (Produced by M. Shinoda of Linkin Park & Chad Hugo of The Neptunes) - Kenna
  • Heroes - Peter Gabriel
  • Still (Acoustic, Vancouver Sessions) - Alanis Morrisette
  • Resurrection (Produced by M. Shinoda of Linkin Park) - Lupe Fiasco & Kenna
  • We Are One - Hoobastank
  • The Wind Blows (Skrillex Remix) - The All-American Rejects
  • It Must Be Love (written by Enrique, Anders Bagge, & Peer Astrom) - Enrique Iglesias
  • Typical Situation (Live) - Dave Matthews Band

Just head over to the site and you can listen to the music in their built-in flash player - and if you like it (I can't guarantee you will), you can enter your email for a legitimate download link for the entire album. There is no catch, they just hope you take the time to donate.

100% of funds received will support those affected by the tragic earthquake in Haiti.
Funds will be divided equally among the rapid response efforts of the United Nations Foundation, the long-term,
sustainable rebuilding of homes with Habitat for Humanity, and Dave Matthews Band's BAMA Works Haitian relief efforts.

To be eligible, you must be a registered user of this website, and also have a valid Steam Account that does not already own Counter-Strike: Source. Don't have a Steam Account? Head over to the SteamPowered.com website and sign up for a completely free account. In order to play any games on Steam, you must download and run the Steam software available for download on their site, which is also free.

To enter, just reply to this post with your Steam Account name.

The contest will close on Sunday, December 13th, at 10:00pm Eastern, at which time a random entrant will be chosen, and given an absolutely FREE copy of Counter-Strike: Source for their Steam Account. Welcome to the brand new dosquared.com!

I know each of you has been eagerly anticipating the launch of dosquared.com, and here we are. In order to get the full experience out of the site, you'll need to become a registered user. "Why should I register?" you may ask - by registering you'll gain the ability to post in our forums, meet great new people, and even have a chance at prizes.

Speaking of prizes, tonight we have our first official prize give-away. If you've been following dosquared on our Steam Community page, you'll know what I'm talking about. For those who haven't, read on.

To celebrate the launch of dosquared.com, we invite everyone to play any online game with the dosquared tag - [do2] in their name, or even just the address dosquared.com for maximum effectiveness.

Prize eligibility: You must be a registered user of dosquared.com with a minimum of 5 Forum posts, and an active Steam account. To enter, take an in-game screenshot with the dosquared tag or address in your name and submit it here in the forums (respond to this post) or upload it on our Facebook page, along with your dosquared.com username. This contest will close December 1st at 11:59pm EST, so submit your screenshots while you can!

Prizes and their winners will be announced at a later date. Stay tuned to see if you're a winner!

Edit: The prize give-away has been postponed until we have 50 registered users. If you want to win free stuff, invite your friends!
