OK guys, here is my deck list. This is how I played last Sunday.

Monsters 24

3 Dimensional Alchemist
2 Kristya
2 Nova Summoner
2 Angels
2 Honest
2 Herald of O. Light
1 Soul Of P.A.L
1 Marshmallon
3 Thunder King
2 Freed T.B.W
2 Ryko
1 Gorz
1 Plaugespreader

Spell 9

2 B.O.M
1 Mst
1 Heavy
1 Brain
1 My Body
1 Smash Face
1 Creature Swap
1 D.D.R

Traps 7

2 Bottomless
1 Torrential
1 Mirror F
1 Solemn
1 Call
1 Royal Oppression

Side deck 15

3 Mirrors of Oaths
2 Pulling the Rug
2 Fairy Wind
2 Ju Ju
2 Victoria
2 Nobleman
1 Consecrated Light
1 Royal Oppression

Since the regional I made two changes as I found that not having Lightning Vortex in the side deck really hurt against Xsabers. I also removed the DDR and put in one Beckoning light.

I went X-2 at regonals with my only loss to Xsabers (mostly cause I don't know how the deck works and I made a few miss plays) and a Morphtronic deck that rooked me with Power Tool Dragon.

All in all, I quite happy with it. If there is any suggestions please make it as I would like it to be even more consistent.

Josh

I really like the idea of this deck. Consistency with recruiters + Soul and Freed means you can keep your Fairy count where you want it to be.

I also REALLY like how you didn't turn it into a Counter Fairy deck - yet you still managed to fit in Herald of the Orange Light. How did that card specifically work for you?

It worked very well!

I played it when my opponent least suspected it. Game 2 my opponent was always worried that I had a Herald in hand, so he was always afraid of making plays.

I like playing this deck and had a lot of fun on Sunday. I think that made the difference, I was always too serious when I went to regionals and always made mistakes. This time I went in just wanting to have fun and it payed off for me.

Any suggestions Dr.P as to maybe side deck or general deck changes?

Well I'm not entirely sure as I would most likely have to play the deck to understand the cards choices a little better... and I'm conveniently short on a few key cards to test =P

Also, it's tough to make any side deck calls either since the format is still fresh, with no clear top deck. You have a good selection of side deck cards already for that exact purpose - in general, just put cards in there for whatever you expect to see at locals. Before the next regionals I'm sure we will have a little better idea of how things are playing out, format wise.

From my experience, Lightsworn is still a top deck despite the hit on Charge and Lumina - as having 3 draw cards is still really good and fast. Flemvell is showing up, with its ability to bring out a Level 8 Synchro with 1 card, and if necessary, 1-2 more with Rekindling.

One idea I have been told about is vs. X-Sabers you might want to side "Gottoms' Emergency Call" as it allows you to SS 2 X-Sabers from either graveyard if there is 1 on the field (either side) - breaks up combos pretty effectively - the only thing is to watch out for is their own to chain to yours and essentially taking your targets, leaving you with nothing.

Thanks Dr.P, it makes sense what you said.

My side deck choices was based on the possibility of facing a lot of Monarch and Gravekeeps at regionals. Unfortunately I never faced a single Monarch or Gravekeeper deck.
GB's and Lightsworn are my hardest match-ups. I played 2 LS and one GB at regionals last Sunday. My side deck is better suited to handle GB's than LS. Then again, I usually have no problem against LS.

At locals it's different, we have a good mix of all kinds of decks including Lightsworn, Blackwings, GB's and Hopeless Dragon and a few others.

Are you still playing yugioh? There is a good chance that I might go to Untouchables next Wed for a tourney as I am on holidays next week.

I still play, but not nearly as often as I used to. If I go to Untouchables, it's only ever on Thursdays for their ticket tournaments - but seeing as you're not a regular, earning tickets is pretty useless.

Wednesday would be a good bet as the Tournament is free, and last I heard you get a Turbo pack for entering. Can't argue with a free pack =P

If I get the time, I'll try to stop by, maybe play in the tournament. Depends on how my schedule works out as I'm doing midnights at work for 3 weeks. Just give me like a day's notice and I should be able to come out.

Alright, well as I'm still doing midnights, and I haven't heard if you're still planning on going, I'm not gonna be showing up at Untouch today. It'll be reserved for sleeping, lol.

I did end up going and getting 4th place. Andrew got 3rd with his Future Burn. I had fun, even got a chance to chat with Dale and Audrey before we left.
