good job, you should have said no spilt and seen what kind of dmg you could do....this mean your gonna get back in?
As much as I'd like to play more, I don't think it will really be possible. I mean I could play this summer but come September I'm heading back to school (and moving to Sarnia). We'll see what happens, but I'm definitely not spending money on YGO.

i have been losing a allot of interest in the game lately...probably because phoenix got sanctioned and they do $#@% all.. no sneaks...all we get is 1 turbo pack...7 dollar entry fee and top 3 store credit...its all they do and all they plan to do im sure
To be honest, I can't blame Phoenix 'cause truthfully it's not easy to maintain a good local YGO scene. Stores like Gemini or Phoenix have a hard time since they don't specialize in YGO and don't have a lot of buyers...so they put the tournament price at an amount which doesn't lose them money. The Turbo pack's are like $5/each or something and I'm sure they pocket some of it too, and whatever's left is your credit, no?
We're pretty fortunate here in the GTA for a couple reasons: We have multiple stores; each store has competitive pricing to sell stock, and it actually sells; tournaments usually equal 15+ people, so lots of people showing up; and the stores sell other items which make up for anything lost on YGO sales/tournies.
Until people can prove to Phoenix that YGO is worth supporting more (aka people buy a LOT more YGO) then I doubt they'll do anything more. It's a sad truth, but sometimes you don't have much choice.

what did you face, ive been thinking of going back to gbs cause chariot is so powerful...but i dont really know how to play the xsaber and infernity match up...so any advice is helpful
Well I can start out by saying I didn't play against any Infernities... at the time of the tournament only a couple people had the cards to play it...one opted for a different deck (x-sabers) and the second couldn't play due to working the morning. And well I didn't end up playing x-sabers at all other than just for fun before the tournament and I wasn't doing too well haha.
As far as siding/playing against those match-ups... Crow it pretty awesome against Infernities if you time it right, and I suppose Consecrated Light might be good against them as well as Blackwings. I dunno, it's tough to say exactly.
What I did play against was:
Round 1: Light-Hero (typical Stratos, Alius, Honest, Cyber Dragon, Thunder-King etc)
Round 2: Froggy Monarchs
Round 3: Quickdraw Dandy Warrior
Round 4: Blackwings
Top 8: Froggie Monarchs (Same person as round 2)
I will mention that the MVP of this tournament had to have been Retiari. Not so helpful in the first round, but removes Frog to shut down the Monarch engine, removes Dandy/other necessities against Quickdraw, removes Vayu/other Blackwings to help prevent Synchros from Vayu or Blizzard.
A couple of notes:
1) Be wary of a Starlight Road against your Gyzarus. That just really messes up your day. That being said, don't Gyzarus one backrow - Bottomless loves it when you do that.
2) Herk wins games. In ways you wouldn't even think of.
3) Never underestimate the power of a defence mode Hoplomus that has been swapped in.
4) Cold Wave is still the best card. Even with 3-4 backrows, drawing Cold Wave is just dirty (not as effective against Monarchs).
5) It's still the same GB's as when you left, just playing against different decks. Think your play through before wasting cards.
6) Keep your monsters alive.
Hope that helps.
